Privacy policy
MyPoolsGuide is a directory. Most visitors never give us anything. Here is what we collect from those who do, and what we do with it.
Last updated October 7, 2026.
What we collect
Visit counts. We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages, buttons and calculators get used, so we know what to improve. It records the pages you view and whether you tap a phone number, a website link or a form, with a rough location worked out from your network. It does not get your name, email address or the phone numbers you call. We run no ad pixels and do not sell this data.
Your email address when you sign in, claim a listing, apply for a listing or use the contact form. We need it to send the one-time sign-in link and to reply.
What you type into a form. Proof text on a claim, the details on an application, and your message on the contact form.
Listing edits. When a company owner changes a listing, we keep a log of what changed, when, and which account changed it. That log is how we catch mistakes and abuse.
Business data about companies. The name, address, phone number, website, hours, customer review counts, star ratings and Florida license records shown on listings are public business information. They are collected from public sources and refreshed monthly.
What we do not do
We do not sell or rent your email address. We do not send marketing email. We do not store passwords, because sign-in works by a link sent to your email.
Cookies
Signing in sets a session cookie so the site knows it is you, plus one small cookie that tells the header to say "Your listing" instead of "Sign in". Both are gone when you sign out. Forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to block bots, which may set a cookie of its own. Google Analytics sets cookies that tell one visit from the next; you can block them in your browser and the site works the same.
Who handles the data
- Cloudflare serves the site and checks forms for bots.
- Supabase stores accounts, listings and the change log. Data lives in the United States.
- Resend sends sign-in links and notification emails.
- DataForSEO supplies public business data during the monthly refresh.
Your choices
Delete your account. Use the contact page from the email you signed in with. We remove the account and unlink it from any listing.
Remove a listing. Owners can remove their listing from their account page. Anyone else can ask through the contact page. Public business information may reappear at a later refresh unless you ask us to block the company, which we will do.
Correct something. Owners edit their own listing. If you are not the owner and a fact is wrong, tell us and we fix it.
Children
The site is for adults arranging pool service. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Big changes get a note on the home page for a month.
Questions
Use the contact page. A person reads every message.
